چکیده
This research investigated the effect of Andrographis paniculata (AP) on oxidative stress following indomethacin-induced gastric ulcer in rats. A total 20 male albino Wistar rats (150-180g) used for this study were grouped into four (n=5): 1, Negative Control; 2, Positive Control and 3, test group treated with normal chow, 20mg/kg indomethacin, mg/kg indomethacin plus omeprazole at AP 16.7 respectively. After treatment period, estimation parameters was carried out animals. The LD50 aqueous extract 50mg/kg bw. Body weight change significantly reduced compared to all other groups while had increased body change. There a significant increase malondialdehyde (MDA) level untreated groups. two MDA group. decrease levels GPx SOD control. Meanwhile, these Catalase three when control but its From study, has proved protect against implicated pathogenesis ulcer. If result is applicable humans, further use ameliorating debilitating consequences peptic should be encouraged.

Gastroprotective effect of sodium hydrosulfide against indomethacin-induced gastric ulcer in diabetic rats
Introduction: The incidence rate of gastric erosions and ulcers in diabetic patients are higher due to failure of mucosal antioxidant defense and maintain enough blood flow. The present study evaluated the gastro-protective effect of sodium hydrosulfide (NaHS) against indomethacin-induced gastric lesions in diabetic rats. Methods: In order to test anti-ulcer activity of NaHS against indomet...

Objective: Zataria multiflora has been reported to have several medicinal properties including antioxidant, antibacterial, antispasmodic, and expectorant activities. This study aimed to investigate the effect of Z. multiflora hydro-alcoholic extract (ZMHE) on peptic ulcer caused by indomethacin in rats. Materials and Methods: ZMHE was prepared by maceration, condensed by rotary evaporator and ...

Background: Gastric ulcer is among the most serious stomach disorder universally. Several effective drugs are employed in the management of this disease, although there have been adverse effects in some cases. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of nortriptyline to protect against gastric lesions, induced by indomethacin or cold-stress in rats. Methods: Gastric lesions were ind...
